Comments: This recording captures The Baseball Project "supergroup" in its 2nd of two dates in the Chicago suburbs promoting its fourth album, "Grand Salami Time." Composed of members from R.E.M., The Minus 5, and the Dream Syndicate, this project's entire catalog features songs about major league baseball from all periods of the "modern era" going back to the early 1900's. I suspect this is just an excuse for them to see ballgames in major markets while on tour. :)

The performances are fun and loose, with completely different setlists every night. You can tell from watching them that they are just enjoying playing uninhibited live music in front of longtime fans.

In terms of sound quality, this one is pretty solid for a club setting. I was directly in line with the left PA and caught a pretty good mix; my neighbors for the most part were very courteous.
